QI Receiver for an iPhone that works in a Prius?

You might want to consider the Bezalel Latitude Case (available from Bezalel.co) It is a very nice iPhone 6 case that has the Qi charger built in, so it is very slim. The plug goes into the lightning connector, but can be moved out of the way if you need to hook up to the cable. I am now using that case as my only phone case. I set the phone in the car and it charges well. And, I charge the phone overnight, at home via the Bezalel Prelude charging base. I only have use the lightning cable if I'm hooking into my computer.

The nice thing about the prelude (a 7,000 mAh battery, about the size of a hockey puck), is that it is portable and can be used as a stand-alone charger for up to 2 1/2 to 3 charges. I take it with in my bag for charging at my work and then I plug the prelude into power at night to keep it's battery charged. Now I am never without sufficient power, whether driving or at work. Plus, no cables or looking for an outlet.

 

I also have the Bezalel Latitude case. It works flawlessly with the in car Qi charger. I also use the case with Anker Qi charging pad at work and a Bezalel Futura charging pad at home. All work great. The genius of the Latitude case is that it's easy to pull the lightning connector out of the way if you need hook things up the old fashioned way.

I just picked up my first Prius yesterday (turns out I've been a member on this forum since 2008, I guess it's been a long time coming), a 2016 and I have the Qi charger. I was looking at the size of the pad against the 6 plus I have, will it work? I only googled very briefly last night and the first thing I found was someone saying a 6s is too big for any Toyota qi charger, but I don't know how old that info was.

Maybe shoot them an email and ask. Although they make a case for the 6 Plus, think think it won't make enough contact with the sensor to charge.

UPDATE: There website says: For 2016/2017 Toyota Prius -- The wireless charging pad is located behind of the gear selector. To start charging, simply press the Qi wireless charger switch and place your iPhone 6/6s on the pad. An amber indicator is illuminated while charging is in progress. It's important to make sure that there are no objects in-between the mobile device and the tray as they may interfere with charging. Unfortunately, the charging pad in these vehicles is too small to accommodate the larger iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus handsets.

Boat from China has not arrived. Maybe this week I will test the $2 charger.

 

I know this is an older thread, but I just purchased my '16 Touring and have been trying to find a solution to my Iphone 6S plus problem. I ordered the card off of Amazon, but that didn't work. I had given up and thought I would just move the tray from the console to the charging area so I would have a place to throw my house keys. I thought I would give it one more try and found this case on Amazon: (Sorry not enough posts to post a link) But this is the name on amazon. This is not the Latitude case. If you put the below in Amazon search it should be the first case. ($18.00)

And it works perfectly. Charges fast and I haven't had a problem yet. Granted this is not a heavy duty case that will offer a ton of protection, but I am not usually that rough on my phones...and the nice thing is if I am in the kayak or doing something I need more phone protection I will use a different protective case anyway...but daily use at work this will be just fine.

Decided it was not worth the expense. The more expensive ones work but I have a free USB cable that works fine. Mr Cheapie.

 

I am using this cheap adapter with my iphone 6s and it works like a charm!
