Hellow from home town of Toyota Its NGO Japan. I just move back to Japan from U.S and just about taking deliver my Prius. My Prius has been held at dealer distirbution center because Gov did not finish paper work for 2weeks or so. Thats why the dealer could not start deliver inspection process. Why goverment involved? Because if car is register under company name, and if register under company name goverment will give 2gran cash back! I cant wait my Prius! Is any Japanese or owner who living in Japan?
Questions What is the "JDM"? Is it an equipment level? What does "G-Touring Selection silver" mean? Is it also an equipment level? How does it differ from standard Prius? TV is available in Japan as factory fitted option? How much is it In US dollars or Euros? How much does Prius cost in Japan? Greetings from Finland -Heikki
"I agree" button? Hi Speedracer, I am curious if the Japanese Prius navigation system requires you to press an "I agree" button on the touchscreen every time you start the car. Hopefully you know the answer, since that means you would have your car. Many of us with the US model hate that screen, especially after "agreeing" several hundred times. arigatou gozaimasu
yea, but i'm more interested in a real world application of the feature. also an up close look of the assist screen.
I am not an user of '04 Prius. I hear the following thing. Almost of Japanese users think that the IPA system is not helpful. Because it need to setup takes time too much, to operate looking at a back monitor is easier. _______________________ USK Bordeaux mica 2001 28,649.96 miles / 480.38 gallons = 59.64 mpg(25.36Km/L) 7/7/04
Thats what I heard too, beacuse its need to set up on monitor then engage the system. Specialy so difficult to do on busy street
Hello. I live in Kyoto and I took possession of a new Prius "S"model in March. My Japanese is not good enough to understand the Navigation System. Do you have any idea where I might find a comprehensive English manual? Thanks John
Hey, Speed old friend. It has been a while since I've seen your posts. I had started to wonder. Glad to hear that you are being reunited with your Prius. Please send some more really cool pictures of car with beautiful Japanese landscape and buildings. Would love another one for the 2006 calendar. (and see if you can get a job at Toyota world headquarters for the insider information)
Hello, Speedracer. Greetings from Canada. Have you seen any scale models of a Prius over there? All I can find on the web is a 1/60 Tomy 106, which would be nice, but I'd *really* like a big Tamiya. Anything I can trade you for?
hitching a ride on this thread also. I could only find the matchbox size Prius on Ebay. I would like to find something larger also. BTW, welcome Speedracer.
heh.. this thread's over a year old! hmm, I think there was a thread about Prius toy cars. I remember someone showing the full collection (with most of the Prius colours) in.... hmm, can't remember the scale. 1/32 maybe.
zjohn go to google and google lexus navigation system tutorial..you will have an online tutorial of the prius system (both are the same)...
