My understanding is that the HV battery 10yr/150k miles warranty requires the car to have originally sold in a CARB state AND presently be registered in a CARB state. So even though a car was originally sold in a CARB state, if it is currently registered in a non-CARB state the extended warranty no longer applies. Is this correct?
Are you having trouble with the HV Battery or just getting nervous.. Your Profile shows a 2005 so I think your already beyond the 10 year mark.
No, my 05 was totaled and I'm presently searching for a replacement. Knowing about the warranty coverage is just for my education on matter while searching. It wasn't a factor before because I knew my 05 didn't qualify. Thanks.
I agree the first rule is you have to live/be registered in CARB state to get it. Second rule is has to be a CARB car (all Prii are CARB certified). Toyota's special rule you had to orig purchase/reg in a CARB state.
