Huge lines are forming around the world to order a Tesla Model 3, sight unseen | The Verge Yep ... sight unseen. .
A professional car photographer posted this photo on his Instagram tonight. Whoops. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Yep. Looks that way. People (including me) got all excited before seeing the handles and other features. Weird angle. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The reservation count is now over 325,000 in just these few days - a new record for any model car - much less for a model release via word of mouth - no commercial advertising !! I'd hate to be at the back of THAT line .
Given depreciation the moment you take ownership, and the fact that production will be at very high numbers, your window would be very small. You would probably make more money buying TSLA
sure, but if you get one in late '17, there will be people who want them, and can't get one for a few years. unless production catches up that soon.
First, I doubt they will have a 100% conversion rate (although wouldn't that be cool!). Second, by 2020 Tesla plans to be making 500,000 cars a year. By the end of 2019 I expect they will have the current reservations cleared, more likely earlier in the year.
