It's always hard to define state tax credits, so we rely on owner reports.
Please add or correct or agree with these figures:

But here's where to start looking for 8.8 kWhr PHEV tax credits:

CA $1500 poss. double if lower income
DC Sales tax exempt (includes all cars over 40 MPG EPA CITY)
    MD $1100 (= $125 x kWhrs)
    SC $667 + (kWhr-4) x $111 = $1200
TX $2500 (program has apparently ended)
    PA $1000
    LA $1500 or more?
    OK $1500 or more?
    MI No annual property tax
IL up to $4000? (program has apparently ended)
CO (MSRP x kWhrs)/100 = $2720 (but check for recent changes in CO rebate structure)
    TN $1500
    MA $2500
    UT $1000?
    RI? has something going on
    CT up to $3000
    DE $2200
    MN $2500 proposed
NY Talking about it! approved - $2000 we think.

A big reason why it didn't last very long is the incentive also applied to leases which greatly increased the applicant pool!

Jeff Cobb says $3700 and change Fed Rebate. I like your number better.
I'll put it in TurboTax later today. TurboTax asks for VIN#, but any VIN# will do (last year anyways).

    TURBO TAX says $4502 FEDERAL

What? My CMax with a smaller 7.6kWh battery was $4007 (yes the 7 isn't a typo).

Depending on whose bill they pick, it may be anywhere from $2.5k to $5k. Aslo not clear if it covers leases

    Looks like up to $2k:
"Today, New York legislators will vote on the annual budget that, this year, includes a new electric vehicle rebate program that will allow consumers who purchase or lease the vehicles at a discount of up to $2,000. This rebate will be in addition to the federal electric vehicle tax credit, which provides a credit of up to $7,500 for the purchase of an electric vehicle. The budget is expected to pass today."

Oh very nice. It looks like I might be eligible for a $3,000 tax credit or an "income tax credit worth 50 percent of the cost premium of an electric car, plug-in hybrid, or converting a vehicle" in Louisiana, although I might purchase the car in CA and then drive it to NOLA. That with the federal rebate comes to $7,500 incentive for the Prius Prime.

When states phrase it like that, it's hard to understand what they mean.

Yeah. I am thinking that it's whatever the premium is over getting the regular Prius hybrid, although I'm not really sure how it all works with the add-ons like the big screen. I'll just be looking at the $3k incentive. I'm surprised that Louisiana even has something like this in general since the state has a reputation of not being too friendly to alternative vehicles or renewable energies in general. It's nice that they provide an even greater incentive than a state like CA, although I guess CA would have a lot more people using the tax credits.

I saw wording of a 4kWh+ battery. So most likely you either get the whole thing or none.

Interesting that Washington state is opting to bless BEV + what amounts to "Volts only" on PHEV.
Thus bad news for Prime fans in WA. But WA is the only state doing that. NJ is BEV only. As I understand WA, it is not new program, they've had BEV sales tax exclusion incentives since 2012, which were truncated last year to cars under $35k (Leaf), now they're re-allowing all BEV and Volt?

Florida no hope for Prime? Slim pickens but check out this listing of secondary incentives

According to HybridCars.com the state of Colorado has recently changed it's future rebates to $5000 for BEV and I do not know what for PHEV...
