Hello Everyone, I charge frequently and was wondering what numbers are being reported by others.. According to Charge Point I am charging at a rate of 2.2 kWh. I charged for 1 hour and 11 minutes and added 2.3 kWh and added estimated 6 miles (fully charged). The 2013 has 86k miles on it with 29,654 of EV only. Does the rate of charge seem normal? Thanks for any feedback.
Prius has one of the slowest, if not the slowest rate of charge. That is why it takes so long to charge a tiny battery. I have seen others charge at the rate of 6.x kWh. iPhone ?
The kWh sounds right to me. I can put in about 3 kWh in 90 minutes using a 240v EVSE. The last 25 minutes seem to slow down the rate of charge, although I haven't taken note of the specifics of this observation. 6 miles of EV range in 70 minutes isn't very good. I get about double that range in that amount of time.
RP5, Thanks for your response. I monitor the charging and after 1 hour the charging rate goes from 1.9 to 1.0 kWh. 6 miles is what it reads on CP APP. What Are you getting for a full charge according to CP App? Thanks again.
That is what I always get. Notice that after the first hour it cuts back. And the miles isn't really accurate, just a guess.
Thanks for the graph. This confirms my observations. I figured it starts slowing down toward the end of the charge.
The charging rate drops to 1 kWh or .9 kWh during the last 15-25 minutes. Sometimes I do not even wait for this topping off. I just unplug and go. ( to next charging station) that is on the way. Lol.
