Is there an Atlanta or Georgia Prius Group

That fell flat I couldn't find one either so far. Is there one? We need one!

Soooo what happened? Was it made? It's 2016 guys and I'm ready to join. Please make this happen or maybe I'll do it, but how?

 

Atlanta Prius driver here too. There are tons of Prius drivers on the road. I think the problem is Atlanta Prius drivers see them as an appliance and not something to get excited over.

That seems to be true. It looks like the more active local groups (e.g. SoCal) are in areas where modding is more popular. In Atlanta, the other Prius drivers I've met are always really happy with their cars, but only as commuting appliances. They don't really want to do anything to them or hang out to talk about them. I think the only visible mods I've seen around here are bumper plugs and removed plastic wheel covers, ha!

 

Hey, fellow Atlantans - I just wanted to let you know that I had a good experience with service at Marietta Toyota. I somehow managed to put 5k miles on my used-but-new-to-me Prius already, so I took it in for an oil change and rotation. Price was lower than quoted, they didn't try to sell me anything extra, and they had me in and out in about an hour on a super busy Saturday morning (I did have an appointment). When I drove in, I saw a v driving out, another Gen 3 in front of me, and a Gen 2 and a Gen 3 in the parking lot, so I figured they would probably know what to do with a Prius.

I also had a great experience with Atlanta Hybrid Repair in Chamblee (they did a pre-purchase inspection for me). I'd go back there in a heartbeat. I have a superstition about using the dealer for scheduled maintenance until the power train warranty is up, otherwise I would have gone to AHR instead.

 

So, do we have an Atlanta Group?

That's a bit short notice for me, sorry.

 

Sorry for the late response! February is pretty crazy for us, so the first weekend time I have open is Saturday, 2/25. I could also do Saturday, 3/4 early (before 4 PM). Perimeter area would be great.

Unfortunately, I have to work that Saturday. I was thinking maybe meeting at a restaurant or at a library. We can shoot for after 4 pm on 3/4. Let me know what you think so far. We have the area of Perimeter Mall, we have the day of March 4th and we have a time frame of after 4PM. Any suggestions?

Folks,
I would be interested in joining your club if possible. I would like to suggest a location of Stone Mountain Park where we could organize Hypermilage loops of the park. I could bring water and soft drinks and Priidash3mfd instrumentation. If you are into road biking ( they do not allow road biking the last time I checked ) bring your kit and your bike and do some loops of the park.

If we want to occupy any of the bench areas we may have to rent them but some time is permitted as you will have to pay an entrance fee of around $5.00 anyway. Free parking is available in the Stone Mountain City lot next to the Cop Shop a mile away in the city if you do not want to bring your car into the park.

I'd be good with either Perimeter Mall or Stone Mountain personally, but...I'm going to have to bring my darling wife along, who has zero interest in this sort of thing. Perimeter Mall has some real advantages in terms of giving her something to do while I'm "playing with my Prius".

How about meeting at Panera?

 

I think Perimeter Mall is a central location. Panera Bread is a good place. Next time we meet, we can meet somewhere else.

Note, if we park on the back side of the building (toward Target), we have a better chance of parking our Prii together. There is a traffic circle right in front of Panera. Make a right at the traffic circle, the make an immediate left into the parking lot.
