I live in Norway, here we have to have the light on during daytime, but then the light where you can see the speed/fuel etc is barely visual...
Is there anywhere I can change the lighting?

    Thanks guys...

On my 2005 (U.S.) Gen. 2 model, there's a brightness dial in the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Turn it all the way up, past the click, and the dash and MFD go to full brightness even when the headlights are on.

If you don't have the dimmer wheel as indicated above, try the right most button under the MDF.

It has two jobs. It has a symbol on it that I think is supposed to look like a speedometer, or it might have km/h MPH on it, I can't remember which.

Job one is dimming the dash and MDF -- quick presses. This only works when the headlights are on.

Job two is toggling the speedo display between km/h and mph for use in UK and Eire/Europe -- press and hold for about 2 secs.

    hope this helps.

Ok, great, I tried now, it was by the speedbutton.
Now I can finally see how fast I'm going...
