Hi guys - For those of you who have had your Prius' windows tinted by a 3rd party, did you ask them to leave the car "on" to prevent battery discharge, or did you just turn off the automatic dome lights, or did you do nothing special? I vaguely remember someone talking about this a LONG time ago, but only now have i decided to take her in, and I would like to feedback from others first. Thanks. Jason '04 Millennium Silver AF
Nothing special...what are you worried about? Draining the 12v? It shouldn't be a problem unless they take a REALLY long time.
Just took mine in today to get the windows done (all but front windshield) and the Llumar paint protection done at the same time. Since they did both it took them almost all day (10-3), but no problems with battery drain, or any other issues either. Now if I can just manage to not roll down the windows for 3 days I'll be all set!
