So I bought for the backup camera installation. I am wondering if someone here has installed this and would help me with instructions. My first issue is how to remove the black cover off the lift gate. It is held by 8 or so plastic clips. Looking to see how to remove these clips as the first step. Help appreciated.
plenty of guides around if you search (it's a beaten dead horse)...those clips easily pop out if you pull them with a flat tool/zip tie.
I haven't looked at those clips in particular, but most such clips have a centre section that you pry out which releases the flanges that hold the clip in place. So you pry out the centre section first as far as it will go and then the clip itself should pry out pretty easily.
With some of the fasteners that have the center pin, you push it *in* as far as it will go to release the clip.
