Hey guys, got a 08 prius. Curious to know if it would make a difference to swap out the old corroded nuts on my cell stems with new nuts. Specifically does it matter what metal the nut is? Stainless or zinc? Is stainless an option? I've got some lock nuts that are stainless.
For me, that's a case where I'd totally order the nuts by Toyota part number from one of the discounted online dealers, or just stop by my local dealer for them. They're just not that much even at Toyota prices, and Toyota's materials-science nerds have already asked all the compatibility questions. -Chap
