Upper O2 sensor vs Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor

    I was reading the o2 thread and ... are these two different names for the same part? Toyota only list an Upper O2 sensor when I search for Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor no hits.

    The correct name is air/fuel ratio sensor, but the parts catalog probably has generic descriptions. That sensor is located in an "upper" position with respect to the catalytic converter.

    FWIW Toyota parts search calls it the Upper O2 sensor.
