I was wondering if one can have larger diameter tires on a gen2, what the ramifications would be and if it would even look good. Is there anybody out there who has any input? As of now, this is just a thought, it will be awhile (if at all) because I have 4 good tires, but if and when the time comes...
the tires outer diameter need to be close or the ABS will freak out because the wheel speed sensors will detect the different rpm front to rear.
Thank you sir! This is exactly the information I suspected I was missing and needed to know! Iol, yes, but not any more!
Happened to me, was getting new tires for stock wheels(15"), had aftermarket 18" wheels on, the tech broke a bead so I had two 15" on the rear and two 18" in the front(overnight), the circumference was 2" different, below 32mph it was fine, above 32mph the ice cut out...
I did have 185/65R15 front and 205/60R15 rear on the wife's car for a few months with no problems, but that's only about a 1/2" diameter difference.
