Hi All im having a gen 3 prius and yesterday when im driving on a humpy road.(village side road) i got this message on the prius hybrid indicater screen, with orange color engine light and orange color triangle warning light. But still i can drive the vehicle and it charge the hybrid battery and everything going OK. I got really got fuel economy too after getting the warning message. Only thing is the message is appearing every time at the scree,What should i do now.
How old is the 12v battery in the back? It might be time for a new one. Do you own a volt meter AKA multimeter tester?
I tried reset method by turn on n turn of for several times.now the error message gone.warning message gone. But now when I accelerate a green color "eco" button use to be appear at the top of acceleration chart. NOW It didn't seems to be appear. Do I have to start a new thread on my new issue
Not entirely tongue-in-cheek: when a message comes up saying "CHECK HYBRID SYTEM", I'd be inclined to...: check hybrid system, lol. More seriously, have a Toyota dealership run diagnostics? Hopefully under $100. I've had the message maybe 3 times over course of ownership with ours, and dealership diagnostics didn't really get to the root of problem. In my case it was suspected to be brake communication related, and the latest opinion from the dealership was that there was nothing mechanically wrong, it was a missed "handshake" of some sort.
After the rest message has gone. Now there is a new issue, which I can't see the "eco" icon or the text at the top of acceleration indicater
