The nice thing about this is in the future you can choose what ever color and be cooler. Up to now white or silver.
Because someone in desperate need of a tonselectomy thinks all cars should be black, have black interiors or both. Unfortunately they're in charge of ordering the selection of cars we see. I wanted to order the green until I realized it was only offered in Japan. Perhaps they were afraid of Uber drivers buying so many of them, that everyone would end up associating the green with uber and random strangers would mistakenly try to enter any green prius they saw. I think it does the curves justice, and who doesn't like Big Bird and Kermit the Frog? Q: Wasn't Blizzard Pearl suppose to help with reflecting infrared energy and reducing heat?
I would too, at least used in 5 years or so, since I just bought my 2010 last month. The Gen 4 has been growing on me. I initially thought it was awful looking, but I'm getting used to the look and finding that I'm liking it more and more. This color is my favorite so far. I also like the black and white Sheriff's car in the followup to the Superbowl ad (on youtube), the red, and the winter gray.
It's not only the green colour that does it. It's the layers and the way they interact. Oh, and I would order that colour in an instant, if available. I think we will never see that colour here in the "Great white north". They don't want the car to get too heavy with ice buildup inside.
The American Public would save more money on gas if they just checked/adjusted their tire pressures/fluids every fill-up and washed/waxed their cars regularly. It's a marketing scam...however you "color" it.
