Two friends each have 2006 models. In one I can't sit up straight in the rear seat without my head being mashed against the roof. In the other, I have 3 or 4 inches clearance. I'm 6' 2". I just completed a quick survey of many models and packages between 2006 and 2015 and the rear headroom dimensions are all in the 37.1 to 37.6 inch range. I don't see any specs for rear seat height so what accounts for the fact that some are more spacious than others? I'm shopping for a used Prius between 2010 and 2014 and I need some reliable guide to actual rear headroom. Thanks for any tips.
Did either of those cars have a sun/moonroof? Generally, a car with a sun/moonroof will have less headroom.
