Hi. Just acquired our first hybrid. Pearl white Auris Excel, 7000 miles dealer staff car (and no doubt run-around), with photos to follow. If and when the weather here (Derbyshire, England) improves. Long term lurker, but now looking forward to zipping about in power mode
Congrats! It appears the Auris is the EU version of the Yaris? We don't have hybrid Yaris' over here, but I really like them.
Thanks. Next model up from the Yaris: 100mm shorter wheelbase than the Prius. Do you get the Lexus CT200H? That's similar. and thanks. Weather at the moment wet and cool (4.3C) not to mention miserable! Will post when the clouds take a rest.
Toyota Auris and Scion Auris are the same vehicle - it's essentially the same as Prius (at least the previous versions were), but has "normal" interior with gauges in front of driver, etc.
Congrats! The Auris Hybrid is going to be sold in Australia too as the Corolla Hybrid. Now that the iM is coming under the Toyota brand, we may see a hybrid (Scion was never going to sell any hybrids under the Scion name).
Given the low temps here (not that low compared to parts West!) the Auris hasn't been out much, but it's doing something like 48 mpg. Handles well, on multi-link rear suspension (different to the Prius 3 torsion bar) and Michelin Cross Climate tyres recently fitted.
