My girlfriend is an aggressive driver and I hate her driving my car. But that is another matter all together. After she drives there is a drop in the calculated mpg's by at least 2mpg sometimes as much as 5. Would it be better for her to drive in POWER MODE not only for the mpg's, but what about the added stress an aggressive driver puts on the vehicle?
Power mode should make no difference at all. The only change it makes from normal mode is the throttle response is altered, to where maybe, pushing the pedal 10% in power mode is more like pushing it 35% in normal mode. The only thing it would save would be potential stress on the gas pedal mechanism because she wouldn't have to press as hard to be leadfooted.
no, it'll make it even worse (chirping tires and such). when my wife drives the car in city, mpg goes from 55-->40.
