What happened, you didn't put the lowbeam bulb in straight? Always check bulb alignment after installing a new bulb by turning it on. A misaligned bulb will put out a very weak beam pattern. If the housing isn't melted, you can try removing the headlight housing from the vehicle, remove all bulbs and harnesses. Set it on a towel, then bake in the oven at a low temperature for a while. That may be enough to remove the moisture.
