Fiat 500e Leases Get Down To $69/mo, Or $169/mo With $0 Down | CleanTechnica

Is that a deal or what ?!?!
If you have a 20 or 30 mile drive to work commuting each day - and/or a couple bucks per day for a lease payment how could you go wrong.? I just saw this - and I'm going to have to check it out to see if it might be worth turning in our early production leaf.

Ugh, I wouldn't trust fiat too much. They are dirt cheap but they are known around here for falling apart quite easily. The gas and diesel ones are known for oil leaks - 2 out of 3 people I know have that problem.

I almost traded my Persona in for a Abarth...

Went for the total opposite instead and now have a Ram 1500 Big Horn CC 4x4... Lol.

The little Abarth was badass though.... The exhaust note was to die for :D

I much preferred the rev matching automatic over the stick shift.

since they lose money on every one, i would lease one just hoping to put them under.

but seriously, i searched all the mass dealers and no can find.

I have a Fiat 500e 3 year lease for about 0 down 100/month, 12k miles/year after all rebates. I've had the car now for 1.5 years and 25k miles. In the beginning it did give me a lot of the problems, at one point it was at the dealer for almost 3 weeks. Lately though it has been reliable. I only plan to keep the car for the lease period just because chrysler and Fiat aren't exactly known for building quality cars, and this is no exception. They only built this car to get the California credits, so im assuming they are losing money on every single one, but it is probably beneficial to them in the long run. They are by far the cheapest EV to lease, which is the reason most people get them. Occasionally they do have some ridiculous discounts on them if any one is interested, such as the 0 down 80/month deal they had last year.

What worries me is they keep making ugly EVs.

Why buy a chrysler when there are Japanese cars that are much more reliable and dependable. Sure there aren't minivan hybrids yet, but how great can they improve the gas mileage on a minivan. There are a lot of problems with my car that I could go on and on about. Here are just a few off the top of my head.
    1. The interior is beyond cheap. Anytime you go over any rough road, the entire car shakes and you can hear the plastic rattling.
    2. The car displays random warning lights and that immediately go away after turning the car on and off.
    3. The screen is incredibly glitchy and buggy
    4. The car's heater was broken when I received it, which i didn't notice until it got cold
    5. After a week of driving the car I got my first error on screen that wouldn't even let me put the car in Drive simply because the battery terminal was loose, a common recurring problem.

i think a few people would like a seven seater, and a hybrid should improve mpg's considerably. but most want the euro toyota, not a chrysler.

Sounds like fiat to me. But unlike the Prius at least you can fix most of their cars like the ones made 50 years ago - at home.

That won't be a problem with the BEV.:p

What did you expect from FCA who's CEO begged people not to buy the 500e because they lose money on it, and whose only hybrid to date was a two-mode SUV that was quickly cancelled? The only product they offer in the US that may be of interest to those that want to reduce oil use is the 3L diesel available in the Ram 1500 and Grand Cherokee.

The minivan is Chyrsler's baby, and their offerings there have never been a slouch. So there is hope they'll give the Pacifica more attention

It will help mostly in the city, but American minivans are still big, boxy, heavy things that are pricey without a hybrid system. Toyota's Japanese hybrid minivans are nearly a foot shorter in length than any US model. I look to the Highlander hybrid for what a US minivan hybrid would be like in terms to fuel savings and price.

The 7 or 5+2 seater Prius v or C-Max, which exists in ICE form, would have been nice to see here, but I think Toyota and Ford, rightly, determined the people really wanting such would be less likely to pay the extra cost for it.

    Ok nevermind...

Of course the lease is a tad more than $69 a month. You get what you pay for.
