and I love it. They didn't have the one I want. I wanted a four Turing with tech package in black. I test drove a black four touring without tech package. They offered me 2k off. Is that a good deal? Even if I don't buy the one I drove (I wouldn't..I want the tech package) they will give me the discount. Is it a deal?
If you believe it is a fair deal, it is. $2000 off MSRP is pretty good especially when coupled with attractive finance offers. The dealers are trying to clear out the 3rd Gen Prius to make room for the the Gen 4.
Don't bother making deals if it's missing a package you want, otherwise you will regret it throughout the course of your ownership. Also, I thought the Costco pricing was the best pricing available on the 2016 Prius. I read somewhere on here it's $300 below invoice (I would have to find the post to be certain, I could be wrong).
I was thinking of ordering the car. They are willing to give me the money off even if I go that route.
If you can get 2K off while ordering exactly what you want, that's a deal I'd take. It's a great price at that kind of service. Any indication on timeline for order? 2-3 months?
It's SUPPOSED to be $300 over invoice. However, my experience was different. I priced a Four Touring in black with the Premium Convenience and Premium Accessories packages. They came back with a price about $1500 over invoice. Then I pointed out it was higher than the "sale" price they had listed so they dropped to that and that was still about $1000 over invoice. It still depends on the dealer. iPhone ?
