Hey everyone, I'm thinking of trading in my prius for something roomier, but need an OEM cloth front driver seat, that I tossed out of my 2015 Prius lift back Two. I replaced this with a recaro, but need a 2013-2014 grey cloth seat. If anyone wants to upgrade their seat to a Recaro Sport Topline, in black leather and alcantara, with heated+cooling seats, with power everything, and lumbar, shoot me a PM, i'd be willing to sell this seat for nothing, as long as i can get your oem cloth seat in gray, years 13-14(for vin compatibility) b/c I really REALLY want the rav4 hybrid, but the dealer prefers that I place the oem seats back in the prius, before I trade it back in. This seat was purchased brand new less than a year ago from a Recaro distributor where its hand made...just fyi, and ran me 1500 with bracket prius bracket. thanks !!
FYI, no side airbag... which is probably the main reason why the dealer is balking. They would need to replace the seat with oem to restore the safety feature.
yup, apparently by law they can't sell a non-airbag car on their lot if they are to CPO it, once they re-flip my current prius.
It is against federal law to disable or remove any safety device. The dealer is not legally allowed to take the car in that condition. Bill the Engineer.
You had better start a search on a salvage yard network. Cost is going to be outrageous, so hold on to your shorts.
hi i am interested in buying your car juse because of the seats. i had recaro before in my civic. I think they stole my civic just because of the nice seats.
Ah I'm tempted... you're local too. I shouldn't though, I had recaros in my last car and it was a pain taking naps in the car on my lunch break
