Ouch, that's gotta suck. Luckily no one was hurt or killed, but it should be interesting to see why this happened, at a Supercharger station no less. Tesla Model S Catches Fire, Burns To Nothing While Supercharging In Norway
There's a video link posted Jan. 1, 2016 at 5:49 P.M. in the comments of the Inside EV's article. The website appears to be a Norwegian tabloid so I don't want to link to it... Fairly impressive fire! As always with a Tesla burn or a crashed rocket, I remain firmly in Musk's corner. He's amazing.
Actually - if you look really close - right next to the area where the fire 1st started at the rear of the car; ... you'll see the guy with the 5 gallon jerry can, running back to his fuel cell car. he's going home to short his tesla stock .
...hmm so I guess an aluminum F150 is going to look about the same after a fire...guess we might have more melted aluminum in asphalt if more cars are made from aluminum
Not necessarily. According to the article, the fire department let the fire basically burn itself out. If the fire had been put out more quickly, it wouldn't have been nearly as impressive.
