<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(NuShrike @ May 8 2006, 01:20 AM) </div> i dont see your point. you're saying that the yaris is just a renamed echo which implies its essentially an echo inside and out with a new name. I'm saying that's not true. If I may use a quote from a website you gave me, "The new Yaris is considerably larger than its predecessor (110 mm longer, 35 mm wider and 20 mm taller, plus a 90 mm boost in wheelbase)"
The old Echo sedan was called the Platz and the old Echo hatchback (only in Canada) was called the Yaris/Vitz. The new Yaris sedan is called the Belta and naturally the hatchback has been rid of the Echo nameplate and uses Yaris.
Two weeks ago I was in Toronto visiting family - and my mom had her new Yaris sedan. Apparently hers was the sixth one in canada, if you count from the front of the boat. I was really impressed with the car - quite peppy and surprisingly smooth for its size. Something about the steering and suspension really reminded me of the Prius, but the brakes were the mushiest I've felt on a small japanese car... All in all, very nice. Dave
really? you should try our 02 Camry's brakes . Nothing happens until you're half way through the brake pedal range.
I saw a Scion xA 4-door-hatchback in a parking lot last night. Since my mom is now focused on a Honda Fit to get the 4DH, I told her to at least do a few Internet searches to see if the xA is something she'd like to test-drive. She's getting all happy about lower gas prices, but we agreed it probably won't last...
