I want to install a roof cargo box on my 2010 Prius. I'm having trouble choosing which box to buy. My priority is choosing one that is short enough that I can still open up the hatch and access the trunk. Can people who have had luck with a cargo box that works well with the hatch please tell me what model you are used or are using and how long the box is? Other secondary things I am looking for is that it is shaped in such a way that is aerodynamic and decreases fuel mileage the least and that it is easy to access.
Just got my whole setup in its Yakima whispbar s6 bars with fit kit. And the Yakima skybox 16 carbonite. So far driving with just the roof bars I saw no decrease in mpg at hwy speed. The box I chose based off of price and comparable models
not sure if its the same one. but PC member @Jimmy, has a similar setup too with more pics to judge. I like it as well.
That's correct it's a Carbonite. Loved it. Took a family trip from Florida up to NY. First leg was to SC and I got 43 mpg calculated. With the rack and a car full of three adults and two kids.
