No need for the story just know I'm not a smart man. But the car was found 2 hours away my wife went with her mother out to get it and the fob key will not unlock it. And the key in the fob is no use as there is not a keyhole on the door. Any ideas?
I'd say it's not a Prius then. All Prii have a keyhole on the driver's door. Maybe post a pic to confirm?
Guess she already left but I'm 99% positive there is not one there. When we first got the car and found the key we looked all over for a keyhole and never found one.
Ignore the yellow arrow. that's for replacing the lock/pull handle assembly. Keyhole (on outside of pull handle) should be pretty obvious.
is it possible the former owner replaced the front door handles with rear handles? anyway, your battery is probably dead. you might have to break in if that's the case.
Okay I lied there is a keyhole put the key inside the sob would not unlock the door. And I'm not there so I can't really troubleshoot it
yes, they are difficult to turn. especially for those who think they might break it. go back with some graphite powder lube and squirt it in first. bring pliers to grab the key for leverage, and try both doors. or you can use wd40.
i wonder what happened. first, there weren't keyholes, then, the key wouldn't turn. third, turned the key the wrong direction?
