Kinda interesting, a 2016 Civic wheel cover, over a black steel rim. Similar? Come to think of it a shift for Honda: typically their lug nuts bolt through, and hold on the wheel cover.
Thanks. If thats it, If I bought one, I would pull the wheel covers off as well. Did it on mine and bought the center caps. Looks much better. The wheel covers make the car look weird.
Still: while the bare wheels (in 15" at least) have gone back to silver, they're still very utilitarian looking. The 17" have gone from nice looking on 3rd gen, to hopeless. Pull the (5) plastic pieces off and you've got a gloss black, spindly looking mess, with prominent lugs for the plastic pieces.
Here's a 2016 wheel. It's different than the Gen 3 wheels. Different shape spokes and center section around the lug nuts.
It's got a little step about a quarter inch in - don't know if that will interfere with the Toyota capor not
@evpv Thanks for the picture. Again, it's great that Toyota has gone back to silver paint, per 2010~2011. It's a passible bare rim, still, somewhat utilitarian, with a kind of rough seam around the rim, embossed text and so on. Maybe down to the same guy who loves the alabaster interior trim?
Looks like they scooped out more aluminium alloy and thereby making the spokes visually longer. Wow they're so similar. I was actually fooled until you posted that.
