We all need to see some homemade photos of this new beautiful car!!

 

Another new owner observation: the HUD is meh for only MPH since this can be seen on a screen slightly to the right. But it might be better for navigation. And if one wants to have a different screen.

The key reason I got the 4 over 4T as the sunroof

And car drives much tighter that G2, which means slightly harsher ride. I don't mind it, but if you like a more 'relaxed' ride you might not like the G4.

Current MPG = 51, 120 miles. (Some uphill with a couple of large dudes in it).

 

You can turn off the HUD though, right?

 

Yes there's a button on left hand side of dash to turn off. And I should qualify that I haven't used it for navigation, which might prove more helpful than just speed / speed limit display.

 

I have used it for navigation and like it a lot. Plus the benefit of speed limits!

 

I read the US Owners Manual and it was said that there is no EV symbol displayed in the HUD when you are in EV-Mode .
It is displayed in gen 3. HUD,so if you don't display the energy flow- or the eco display in the right MFD screen,how can you tell that the car is in the voluntary EV Mode by looking at the HUD ?
Is it done by showing a different color on the HUD's Eco-display ?

 

The driving mode is shown above your active speed on the MFD and there is a color difference also.

 

So does the MFD also change colours when the car switches to the voluntary EV-Mode ?
As it seems you can't tell by only looking at the HUD !?

Just FYI, financing contracts are one of the largest profit centers for the dealership.
Your credit score should stand alone. Go to a credit union.
I just got 2.24% for 60 months on a USED car with a similar credit score.
Whether you pay it off in 2 or 5 years, you'll still save money.

I would read the fine print of your loan about this 6-month penalty thing. That could be true, but sounds like the dealership gets paid if the loan stays alive for 6 months and they just want to scare you into not doing anything until after that. I could be wrong...

Toyota offerred me 3.25%, my credit union came in at 1.5%

 

Dealer: 3.9%

Credit Union: 1.49%

Given the very low fuel prices, and the projection that those prices will remain low, is it likely/possible that dealers may be more willing to negotiate than in the past? Or wwill Toyota limit availability to keep prices up?

 

no way of knowing. i expect they have to produce a bunch, at least for awhile. but they will probably be cautious after the gen 3 debacle.

 

Dealers are already selling at below MSRP, so yes, they will deal. And yes, they will "bend the truth". They are car dealers. That is their "business model".

We are all so used to the GII selling above MSRP we can't believe we can get a deal! Wow!

Thanks dudes. I just went to my car insurance and they said they can finance me for a lot lower. So now we are trying to either stop the dealership from starting the financing process or if they have started it already, my insurance company are gonna help me refinance. Also what is a 2016 Prius C 4 4D HB? Is it different than the Prius Four Touring? My insurance input the vin number and the description came up as 2016 Prius C 4 4D HB. The Four Touring wasn't on there. They put the car in as 2016 Prius C 4 4D HB. Should I let my insurance know?
