Xliderider, I'm just a tad confused. I ordered the Yaris wire harness kit and the lower grill portion. Do I need to order the HID fog kit from xenonsupply? My other question is Would the car not suck enough power or drainage if I'm running a total of 4 ballast? 2 ballast for fog lights and 2 ballast for the HID kit?

I want to also upgrade my halogens to hid as well, this is the kit I was looking at: Industry Best H11 Morimoto Elite HID Kit : HID Systems : The Retrofit Source

You still need a HID kit (hid bulb + ballast). There are tons of brands to choose from just scour through the forum for examples, but that Morimoto one you listed is one of the best. The issue of power draw is somewhat noticeable however. I have 50w Morimoto HID low beams and 35w fogs, the power monitor does show it goes down a little faster while in idle only but not during drive. Worth the sacrifice to light up the streets like Christmas lights! if your're concerned you can go with LED fogs instead of HID's.

Do you have any pictures showing the entire beam pattern on the ground? To give a better idea of where exactly the light is being thrown. Also, can these be angled out some?

Replied to your PM @olftboy! :)

Here's a quick snap of the yellow beam pattern while driving from the drivers point of view (with phone camera way above steering wheel and out more). The position usually I sit, I cannot see where the cut-off of the fogs are from left to right since the beam expands the further out it is from the source.
You cannot angle these left or right, but you can vertically angle them more as they have a built in screw where you can un-tighten to angle, and then tighten again to keep that chosen angle.

They come like this one on the right side, with plastic adaptor with Toyota mounting tabs:

Stock foglight on the left for comparison.

How do these mount on my 2011 prius? Do I have to have the OEM fog lights then just replace with these?

Do these easily replace the OEM fog lights? I just ordered the OEM fog light system from prius chat shop because on my 2011 prius there is just a gray plastic spacer on the lower bumper on each side.

Would I need any kind of ballast or any other parts for these to work?

    Thanks.

    @texasboy77904

These are a direct bolt on replacement for the OEM fog lights. They simply go into the slot where the fogs would normally go for your 2011.
    Example:
    fognd.jpg

You do not need a HID kit for these unless you want to. They can be paired with the stock H11 Prius Halogen bulbs, but to take advantage of the optics of a projector, HID's is recommend for max brightness.

These are a direct replacement for the factory fog light.

If u plan on running HIDs through them then u need to order a complete H11 HID kit complete with bulbs & ballasts.

Ok thanks. But I have to have the OEM fog light set mounted first correct? After installing the OEM fog set I would then remove the OEM fog lights & covers & replace them with these yellow projectors?

I would basically be just using the OEM switch & wiring then replacing the OEM fogs with these projectors? No other parts needed like ballasts, etc unless HID is desired? I just ordered the H11B Morimoto Elite HID kit for my low beams (5500 pure white bulbs, 50w ballasts.)

Any pics of these installed with a HID kit fit vs. a projector swap?

Thanks for any clarification. I have a traumatic brain injury so its hard for me to understand & comprehend everything with all my memory loss.

Correct. U will be using the switch, harness & cover from the "Prius Chat" kit & the Projector Fog Lights. Nothing more is needed

You can install everything at the same time, just swap the projector foglights for the oem ones. You don't have to install the oem foglights first, then swap the projectors in. It will be more work that way.

Have you looked over the installation instructions in the oem foglight thread? The hardest part of the installation is getting the wires through the rubber grommet in the firewall.

I installed the fogs yesterday. Big hands in tight quarters of a small car and fractured wrist made it a loooong day! The color temp looks great! Thanks!
