I have a complete enginer plug in conversion minus the batteries for prius gen 2 and 3. Includes Mounting Chassis 16 cell Battery management system Mains charger, (plugs into a standard socket no additional parts needed) 5000w step up Inverter Dash mounted display. canbus interface to trick the SOC in the prius computer, and all necessary cables. you will need to supply your own batteries, stock It takes 16 cells of LiFePO4 in series you should be able to use any AH cell for whatever range you desire. you could of course use any battery that is around 48v it does not have to be LifePO4 but you will have to change the BMS and match it to the max output voltage of the charger or use a different charger. A leaf of Volt pack could be modified easily etc.. the inverter is actually easily adjustable in both voltage and current limit, by potentiometer (screwdriver) the same inverter is used for a Honda IMA version. Pics are available on request. I am located in the United Kingdom near Cambridge. £500 Thanks
Could you please send some pictures of the setup you have for sale. You can send Via Private message or to my Email :- [email protected] I live in Herefordshire Thanks in advance. John (Britprius)
Yes sure no problem, i haven't yet taken any photos and I have to get it down from the loft so it may be tomorrow, do you want me try to include model numbers in the photos? cheers Chris
Thanks for the quick reply. Just general pictures would be enough, and if possible some copies of circuit diagrams for fitting if you have them. There is no rush. I have been considering converting my Prius for some time, and this might just be the push I need. I am a retired electronics engineer so this should not prove to much of a problem. John.
Here are the pictures: Prius Enginer Phev Slideshow by bigmotherwhale | Photobucket All the cables nuts bolts and fittings are here and you can see how it all connects together, the Inverter just needs to be supplied with 48volts the Orange wire connects to the HV battery in the car and the 3 spade terminals connect to the car behind the dash. I also have the Metal Housing that bolts into the car and the mounting brackets.
and here is the install manual: http://www.enginer.us/img/Enginer%20PHEV%20User%20Manual%20Generation%203%20Prius.pdf
