    Well,

First off wanted to say hi seeing as this is my first post. Ive asked around and i heard this site has a great community and will be able to help me.

My dad has an 06 Prius and he needs a part, but he doesnt want to have to spend 1700 on it. What he needs is a Coolant Heat Storage Cylinder, (or something along those terms) . He wants to get it used but i dont know where i should get it from. We live in Toronto, but we are willing to get it from the Buffalo area or any other areas near there.

    Any help appreciated thanks.

With a car so new, why does he need a new thermos? Why isn't it still under warranty? If he doesn't want to buy if from a dealer, he might be able to get one from a junk yard that has a Prius.

Suggest you go to private sales forum in priuschat and post a want to buy.

I've called around in my state, KS and haven't found a salvage Prius for parts, but finding a thermos should be pretty easy and a lot cheaper on the Net. May consider emailing people on ebay selling salvage parts about your specific request.

I'm assuming that your vehicle suffered accident damage, hence you need to purchase a replacement part rather than file a warranty claim.

The following business is located in Indiana: 04 and newer Prius Parts Cars

I PM'd you with contact info for a couple of sources where you might find one quite attractively priced.

Hi Patrick. Is this place for used Prius parts or new? After replacing the 3-way valve, thermostat and coolant temp sensor on the storage tank, the Prius Tech says that the tank itself needs to be replaced. New at Toyota, the tank itself is roughly $1,200. Thanks Shane
