Has anyone noticed that the stock speakers are very susceptible to getting blown? Rarely do I have crank up the music as I'm driving, but the right front speaker is rattling so bad now that I don't even turn on any music now until I can take it in to get replaced. The speaker settings are all slightly over mid range for bass, treble, etc.... iPhone ?
That's what I was thinking. Easy to replace myself or is there a lot involved? I have a feeling these will keep blowing. iPhone ?
i haven't, but it doesn't surprise me. it's a pretty cheesy system. is it the base, or does persona get an upgrade?
Very easy. Drill it out. Get some rust proof screws and washers to mount. Buy it from crutch field since they give you the mounting brackets and speakers adapter. Hope that help
I'll have to check reviews on speakers. This includes removing the door panel correct? Should I replace all 6 speakers? iPhone ?
Tweeters kinda hard. I did not replace my. The other four I did. Since everything is out. Add door insulation
Those speakers are the epitome of cheap. They are all plastic junk. Definitely replace them with some good after market units. The money that you spend on one of these factory speakers ($140 apiece) is a crazy.
I agree. I just need speaker replacements without an amp or anything. Nothing too major, but definitely a better upgrade is needed. iPhone ?
I bought some 4-ohm Rockford Foscate 2-way 6x9 from crutchfield for $40. It was a big improvement over the crappy stocks
Self install them, how hard was it if you did? I just don't like the idea of opening door panels and will probably have someone do it for me. iPhone ?
I I did it myself. Very easy just need a drill with 1/8" bit. You'll also need 8 additional screws to screw in the bracket to the door. The door panels on the car are so easy to take off. Two screws and they pop off. Also the door handle pops off the panel, don't try to remove the cable mechanism
Because I don't care for how the back sounds. I wanted a better front sound stage. Audiophiles (not saying I'm one) don't like rear speakers either
