    One reason it's on there in Japan. They like do-dads and ge-gaws on their cars. So it sells cars. Their business model is to sell cars. So in Japan, there are "things" on/in the cars. In other places they may be thought of as "tacky", so they aren't there so much. Unless they are useful and the locals buy when they are there. Then you see them. Very simple marketing. ;)
