We get around 26-27 mpg in our 2014 Rav4 Limited. Based on my experience with our Prius v, I'd expect to get the combined rating. Over a 20% bump. Not bad. Now, how will they price it. Tandy 400

Hi guys, I'll be driving the RAV4 Hybrid next week at a press event if you have any questions for me to answer during my review.
Real life mpg (since the real gain is only in the city. Hwy mpg is officially rated the same as the AWD RAV4). Also, 17" vs. 18" wheels on the XLE vs. Limited. Rated at the same mpg? Cd value? Cargo floor (The specs list a 3 cu. ft. lost over the regular RAV4). Is it flat? Is it at the same height? Do you just lose the underfloor bins to the battery? Birds Eye View Monitor - How useful is it really? (Aka Perimeter Scan) Bi-Beam LEDs? Or just low beam Sport Mode - in the regular RAV4, it changes the AWD system to provide a sportier driving experience. It'll send power to the outside rear wheel if you gun it out of a corner. How is Sport Mode different with AWD-i? Any hybrid-specific equipment? (In Canada, so far I've only noticed rain-sensing wipers as the only hybrid-specific feature, oh and Electric Storm Blue) Spare tire? Sales target? (20% of RAV4 sales?) How comes total system torque is listed for the RAV4 Hybrid (206 lb-ft) but it's not listed for other Toyota hybrids. Is Toyota going to start listing total system torque from now on? How is the AWD-i in the RAV4 different from the E-Four system in the 4G Prius or the 4WD-i in the HiHy/RXh?
1) The AWD Rav4 is rated at 29mpg hwy. The FWD Rav4 is rated at 31hwy. So this basically give you the same hwy rating on the AWD as the gasser FWD. 2) XLE and Limited both get 18" wheels now. I simply cannot believe that the Rav4 Hybrid is only a $700 uncharge on both the AWD XLE and AWD Limited. That is phenomenal assuming someone didn't make a typo.
i'll bet it was one of the Mod's that edited the OP, and based on when his last post was - he still doesn't even know the rav was hybridized. Or, maybe he just bought something else anyway. Too bad, it'd be nice to hear some real world feedback. . Oops that was suposed to be just one post would it be inappropriate to ask 'em usable kWh on the GenII PiP? .

I see this has 3x motor-generators. Anybody know what sort of trac battery it has? I just did some pricing and discovered that similarly equipped (fully loaded) Limited edition RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid are virtually the same price.
I was surprised to see the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid in the new-vehicle inventory at a local dealership. I'm not very impressed with the fuel economy estimates, though. I think I'd prefer a Mazda CX-3.
A loaded CX-5 with AWD will get closer to 24/30 MPG based on Mazda's own data. The Rav4 will do close to 40 in city, which is supported by early owner reports. That said, if you want a Mazda then buy one.
tanglefoot's exampled CX-3 AWD rates at 27/32 mpg...officially. The RAV4 Hybrid AWD is rated at 34/31 mpg...officially. The reason for my previous was to clarify CX-5 or CX-3 because one is the same class vehicle for comparison...and one is not.

Yes, and Mazda rates them the same MPG with FWD or AWD, which doesn't sound right. But anyhow the CX-3 is no where near comparable.
