My girl friend just got her 2006 Prius which came with the 5.1 ver of the NAV DVD. I have a 2004 Prius--an early one from fall 2003. Currently it has ver 4.2. I tried puting her 5.1 DVD in my Prius, but it complained that this was not the correct DVD. Is there more to switching versions of the NAV DVD than just changing thr DVDs? Or is there an incompatability with my early model 2004 Prius? Any input would be welcome. --Lloyd
IIRC, there are TWO versions of version 5.1. One is for the 2004-2005 and one is for the 2006. This is because of the enhanced graphics of the 2006.
Thanks. Rats! I thought getting her to buy the Prius was a clever way for me to get a NAV update... It's a pity. I higher res screen is nice though! --Lloyd
