Turn signals still work flawlessly. These are cheap aftermarket turn signals I picked up when I did my 12+ facelift so know DRLs here.

Awesome! Were exactly are you in the Bay Area? You seem really handy with the mods I might just have to ask you for help on future mods.

Yea these don't have any LEDs in them. In the future I would like to get the JDM ones.

    Looks really great.
    Kind of jealous.

Also I just ordered myself the Pumpkin 8'' Android headunit with a backup camera.
From what I've seen / heard it should be pretty cool.
Will update everyone as it unfolds.

Sweet let me know how that goes. Been thinking about swapping out the JBL unit for the kitkat for quality movie watching for the passengers while road tripping

    Looks really good!

Question: What kind of paint did you use? How long, and at what temperature, did you bake the painted components before reassembly?

Yeah, I ordered the quardcore kitkat version, and I've heard that there will be a lollipop update available for the unit soon.

I used a Satin Black Primer + Paint. Baked at 215F for 15 minutes to warm the sealant up to pry it open. Then I painted the bezel and cured it in the oven and then also let it set for 24 hours before sealing the entire unit back together.

I found most my info from this DIY

I didn't realize out easy it was to mount the Homelink mirror that's been sitting in my garage for months. Slide the old one off and slide this one on and tighten with a T15 Torx. Still need to tap the wires in for it but super simple. I found this one on eBay for $32

Plug and Play GENTX 536 for anyone else on the fence about swapping the standard mirror out.
