Hi. Yesterday, while driving my '06, I'd noticed a gold hue that surrounded the borders of my MFD. I took my car to dealer to make sure that it was normal and he assured me that it was. I've never noticed this before considering that I'd purchased my car in early February. Should I take it to another dealer or is this considered normal? Dealer told me that heavy exposure to sun creates the gold outline around MFD screen. Is this true? Has anyone experience this? I appreciate any comments or suggestions.
My '06 does not exhibit the same behavior and I've had mine since January. However, I do use a sun shade when parked.
if I think it's what you're seeing, then it's normal. i.e. it's not part of the screen itself but the border of the screen (the touchable area). It's not quite gold but it has a goldish look. If it's not what I think it is, then I have no clue. Maybe a picture?

I seen this on my MFD the other day. Looking closely at it it looks like its just the way the light reflects off the border of the LCD or the border in front of the LCD. I only seen it when the sun hit it just right. I say its normal and don't worry about it.
