The video at A deep dive into the insane market of absurd counterfeit Apple products [Video] | 9to5Mac was hilarious. I guess I need to visit Shenzhen sometime. Post other weird stuff along these lines you've seen.
No video for me Have not purchased an Oppo (Apple) nor an Idop (Ipod) available locally. My digital voltmeter is a Fuke. Not just a Fluke In that story's comment section they mention that lithium batteries can only be in carry on, not checked baggage. This is correct, and enforced in China. Is it also the case in other countries? Further down the page there is another story about $5 chemical analysis 'cells' that interface with smartphones. This is actually pretty interesting. Aware Electronics (who make radiation monitors) do not yet offer smartphone interface. Time for another politely worded email.
I don't know about the US but Canada asks you if you're carrying Li-Ion batteries in the same page as hockey equipment (ok sports equipment but mostly hockey ), firearms, and other dangerous chemicals or liquids.
Actually Aware electronics has an Android interface, but I do not know if that means smartphones in general. More news from Shenzen today, Large landslide into an Industrial Park, including worker-dorm buildings. Looks unpleasant there.
