I was telling my son about the Prius and asked what he thought. He responded with "That car looks like a big Tic-Tac on wheels" something I'd never thought of. Does it come with breath freshener?
The Prius does not come with a breath mint. Sorry. However, since it does not pollute as much as most other cars on the road, it is doing its part for fresh air.
I've been told it looks like a shoe...and my apparently ethnically challenged friend refers to it as the "Chinese Astronaut Mobile."
I normally don't reply to headings that have no information regarding content. I don't even open them. I'm only replying now so that I might ask you to next time include the subject of the content in the header. That way I can make my own decision as to whether to open it or not (is it of interest to me?). Please .. No more mystery headers. Ken
On a talk radio station a man with a southern accent stated that he couldn't stand his "tree-hugging neighbor who bought one of them stretched bug-wagons."

Most boards I belong to are not this formal and the mystery title indicates a non serious tone understood by others on the Board. Obviously I have made an error here. I've edited the title and hope this meets with the standards of this Board. Thanks for pointing this out to me. Dave
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(DAT1 @ May 7 2006, 10:30 PM) </div> Dave, I think a brief perusal of the subject matter will show that we are FAR from formal around here. However, we are a large and busy forum with many many posts daily and quite a number of new topics. I think Ken's point is that it is much much easier for members to screen the large number of threads when the title is informative as to the general content of the post. I too get frustrated when I see the "Prius Question" title over and over again...well no kidding, it's a Prius forum for goodness sake, it's not going to be a "Ford Expedition Question"!! I hadn't read or frankly even noticed your thread until you edited the title at which time it immediately got my attention as something of interest. Again, don't think of this as a need to be 'formal', but rather a chance to be helpful and to 'attract an audience' that would be interested in your subject/question.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(efusco @ May 7 2006, 10:49 PM) </div> Thank you for the additional education regarding this Board. I am looking forward to more participation and it is helpful to understand the mechanics and personality of the system.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(efusco @ May 7 2006, 08:49 PM) </div> Evan - I can tell that you are now using the WYSIWYG editor that actually gives you - in terms of line-spacing - WYGIWYG. I couldn't stand the auto double-spacing, and have gone back to the regular editor so I actually KNOW what I'm getting! And back on topic... for some reason most of the people I run into are blind, and tell me that the car is "nice-looking." Often I think they don't realize which car is mine.
Someone called it Christine...ala Steven King b/c of the way it snuck up behind her in the parking garage.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(efusco @ May 7 2006, 11:49 PM) </div> I have a question- if you were going to buy a Ford Expedition, would you spend the extra bucks for the "Eddie Bauer Package"? Thanks!! p.s. Dave- as you can see, there are also wise-a**es on this forum! B)
A friend thinks they look like snails, particularily from the rear. I think they look like little jewels or pieces of art--I love the lines, crisp (?) well, sleek and flowing.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(larkinmj @ May 8 2006, 06:20 AM) </div> Yes, and if you were to buy the Eddie Bauer Package, how long would it take you to to recoup the extra bucks that you spent on it?? Most people I know say my Prius (black w/dark tinted windows so it's solid black) looks like a Space Pod or Jetson-mobile. I think it looks very Jellybean-esque. Does anyone else think the redesigned Hondas look a lot more Prius-like? I keep having Civics (and sometimes Accords!) stop next to me at red lights, and I see a familar shape out of my peripheral vision and look over, expecting to share a smile and a nod with a fellow Prius owner...then I realize it's not a Prius at all!! An imposter!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rancid13 @ May 8 2006, 01:56 PM) </div> The new Civic definitely has styling cues from the Prius, especially the front half of the car. The overall shape is a bit reminiscent of the Prius, and in particular the small triangular front windows and the short hood almost could have been lifted from the Prius.
