Hey, I'm looking to buy a 2016 Silver Prius 3 Touring. Any dealers that have an allotment or anyone that knows where to order please private message me. I'm willing to travel to pickup. I called a few dealers in the Chicago area and got no response.
all the best! there are a couple dealers taking orders, west coast i think. they might just be writing them down, taking a deposit and shoving them in their desk for all i know. someone in oregon said his dealer told him they get their first shipment mid to late december. your best bet might be to call DIANNE WHITMIRE (aka the high priustess) at carson toyota in cali. if nothing else, she'll have the straight scoop. she is a member here, you can search her profile.
Why not give @DianneWhitmire a call or private message her, MANY have used her on Priuschat and she is THE Prius sales woman. If you don't want to travel to her to get the car, she is familiar with shipping the car via truck to people who buy out of state as well. I wouldn't be shocked if she has quite a few orders already but with the amount of cars she sells, I'm sure she will be allotted a lot of slots for orders.
Call Dianne Whitmire? Patiently wait until the vehicle is actually released in the US? Far too easy. I'd pick a dealership at random and then camp out nightly. Nothing say's give me one of the first arrivals better than using the dealership bathroom to shave and sponge off after a night of sleeping in ones own clothes.
