Let's start to trickle out some video... Here is the very nice animation that you see during boot-up of the 2016 Toyota Prius. The dual 4.2" TFT displays show it off quite nicely, I think. The fluidity of the movement illustrates the more powerful processing that is behind all of the UI of the 2016 Prius.
It's all of six seconds when you boot up your car, Friendly. Out of curiosity, what do you watch for six seconds when you boot up the other computers in your life?
Here's hoping there's a way to turn that off with Techstream, or someone promptly finds a way to root the thing and eliminate that. The first thought through my mind every time I start my mom's Volt has been "OMG, thank goodness Toyota still tries to make unobtrusive, tasteful cars and not video games." Guess I was wrong.... -Chap
It is almost 12:00AM EST and entering Nov 18th, instead of silly startup sequence, can we really see the actual review and info?
LOVE it!! I've got my beer ready and I'm patiently awaiting more details to be released tonight since it's now the 18th.
Hey, I actually like it. Of course the start up animation is something I don't pay too much attention to either way, but I don't see much here to possibly dislike. Some real color in the dash is something that has been needed a long time.
Haven't gotten to bed before 1:45am for the last two weeks. I guess today will not break that streak.
