No, the bumper cover comes off, then the headlight assemblies. You have to reach through the bulb mounting hole, from the rear.

This is a very good guide to taking everything off:

Anyone who wants to install the Mini H1 HID retro quick kit like the OP did will have to do the same as well, minus the painting. ;)

I didn't black mine out. I kind of wish I did. I just might go back and do it.

    A. Reyes, did Morimoto fix the mounting adapter plate on their retro quick kit to center the mini H1 projector?

Early versions were slightly off centered within the shrouds.

It's hard to tell, but it looks like there's more of a gap above the projector lenses than below within the shrouds.

Honestly I don't know. It looks fairly centered to me. I wish they could come up with some sort of rear cover. The ones I ordered are ugly and bulky. It's not a super watertight deal either.
I wish the projector could also come forward some too.

Yeah, those look well centered, agree that they could come forward. Or lower profile shrouds should be used.

Yeah oh well. At least I have bi-xenons now.

I think I will paint housing black and install some LED strips or halos or demon eyes. We'll see....
