The antenna is mounted on the back, just above the hatch with the wire running inside the hatch and to the front inside the headliner. Once you get to the front dash, I stuffed it behind the airvent and under the plastic post. You can see the antenna wire coming up from the floor. All the extra wire is wrapped in velcro and taped outside of view.

The power adapter is plugged in the front lower plug, with the wire running under the plastic console piece and down to the receiver.

As for the cassette adapter, I do not know...I'd have to see a picture of that layout (my car doesn't have the cassette player) to see how you'd route the wire...

Hope that helps? If not, let me know, I'll take better pictures and detail the install process...

Hmmm, as I don't have a hatch, but a trunk, I will have to see what I can come up with. It is a 2002 model, that I JUST got Tuesday night. There may not be a path from the trunk forward, and may have to run it from the front of the car. (That is where I put the antena on my Saturn that I traded in).

If I can go through the trunk, I may have to run it through some of the panneling around the door, etc. Is there a way to take those off?

AH! Sorry, I didn't realize that you had the 1st Gen Prius (Classic, whatever...The NHW11...). You should still be able to mount the antenna on the trunk and run the wire under the same way. That's how I had my Sentra set up.

You won't need to pull anything apart... If you use a thin-tipped flathead screwdriver (or other non-sharp, flat edged tool), you'll be able to press the wire into the space between the plastic and headliner. No worries!

As you have a model car that I'm not familiar with, I don't know how you'd mount the receiver or stash the wires...If you had photos of your dash, etc, I could probably figure something out.

I have my Pioneer AirWare mounted in the same location (on the vent) As there's enough room for air to blow around it, I don't feel like it's inhibiting circulation, but it might not be a good spot if you like blasts of air in your face. I also wanted to stay with the vent mount, at least for the time being, as my car is too new for me to be comfortable gluing or screwing anything to it.
I like the rectangular design of the AirWare as opposed to the MyFi, but they are pretty much the same feature-wise, as far as I know. You can carry either of them around and listen to XM. I find that this is a convenient spot for me to operate it, and as I only listen to several stations on a regular basis (Air AMerica, XM Cafe, The Loft, the folk channel, etc.), I use the presets mostly.
