Hoping for good weather this Saturday morning! Very curious to see the trans fluid @62k miles and very certain it's never been touched.
Update from today's maintenance: current mileage 62k. 1st I am so happy to have found all of the correct numbers on this site for everything literally, so thanks guys. Today went pretty smooth total time was about 2 hours and as others have stated the most time consuming was removal and installation of the under tray. Oil change, went smooth . Oil came out very clean which was expected since I was told by the dealer that they changed the oil before sell @59k miles current mileage is 62k. For peace of mind I wanted to go ahead and do it myself and honesty I'm glad I did. I will never know but I believe the oil filter might have gotten skipped on the last change, it was considerably darker than the color of the oil and even looked a little worn/frayed. Got the Fumoto valve installed with the lockout piece . I went with the short nipple version F103s. No clearance issues putting the tray back on seems to have about an inch or 2 of clearance. Went with the stuff as previously mentioned in this thread. OEM filter, Mobil one advanced fuel economy 0w-20 and the Fumoto valve. Sorry for the poor iPhone quality I was trying to give an idea of how far below the pan it comes and really it's not much at all. Now for the fun part the transmission drain/fill pretty obvious it has never been performed. 1st I found no metal particles and I took a pretty good sample, I'm hoping enough to send off for analysis. The color is DARK. But on the drain plug there were zero metal particles as pictured . The drain plug was replaced with a magnetic Gold Plug. Pretty excited to see the results on the next drain/fill, i am planning on performing at around 100k miles. Anyways here are some pics , again thanks for all of the correct part numbers it made my day a breeze. OEM drain plug Dark 62k mileage fluid Paper towel comparison Gold plug AP-05 installed
