OK gang here's the deal and it's driving me nuts. Up until about a month ago my cruising mileage total number after fill up would vary between 390-430 miles depending on how much I topped off the tank, over the last 6 weeks or so the number never exceeds 379 even after filling it to the point of overflow. When I bought the car it came topped off from the dealer and the total cruising range indicated more than 450 miles, 459 is actually the number I remember, does anyone have any idea what's going on here ? Thanks all
If you are doing a LOT of high speed driving, it is understandable why your range is as low as it is. IMO, it is not a good idea to top of the tank either. The above is my opinion and or my two cents worth, whatever that is. I wish you the best of luck. I do believe if you will slow down your range and MPG will improve.
When you bought it did it have big wheels and non LRR tires or did you add these: Motegi Racing 17x7 MR121 wheels, Michelin 215/50/17 MXM4 Primacy As the car learns from past tanks, choices you make will be reflected.
To paraphrase Bob Dylan: "I wouldn't pay it any mind". Really, fugedabout miles-to-empty, focus on mpg.
My bad gang, my wife drove my car all summer with the AC on all the time, I never use it...mileage is fine, just checked it the old fashion way, 52mpg. I now run with trip meter reset after fill up and have turned off all computer mileage data info. Thanks for all the feedback.
