Steering smoothness problem

    Hi
    My prius c ,s steering wheel is sometimes smooth but sometimes its hard. I tested on the same road with only me inside the vehicle. Is there something wrong with the rack ?. Should I check my car ?. My tire size is 195/65/r16

    Is it random or it happens at specific place?

    When its bit hard it will hard for few days. not in a specific place.

    if it is still under warranty go to dealer and have it checked. Sounds like there some issue with rack or at least with loose or corroded contact, so it doesn't get power. In humid climate many electric issues can be traced to contact corrosion.
