Yes, the 2007 (not a typo) Lexus ES has 4-door SKS (plus trunk). I believe the IS does too. Pretty much all of Lexus actually.

It does, but on the Gen 2, it was basic remote keyless entry (like a normal car) with optional 3-dr SKS (front doors + hatch). In the Gen 3, they upgraded the base feature to driver's side SKS with optional 3-dr SKS.

I think what @civicdriver06 meant to say is 5-dr SKS (4 doors plus the hatch).

Actually you can touch the rear hatch to unlock the rear doors too. Obviously, don't press the rear hatch for too long or you'll end up opening it as well.

You can touch the rear hatch release to unlock all doors too.

I didn't know that. I'll have to give that a try on our Gen II. Still that wouldn't change my desire to have the feature on all five doors.

Doubtful it would be an individual option. It would most likely be something that is either in the car all models, or in a specific model/trim, or it simply isn't available. If the three vehicles on display didn't have it in the hatch area, most likely it just isn't available.

I liked that the Prius v had it and it should be in more vehicles, IMO.

We know the Gen 4 is based on Toyota New Global Architecture(TNGA).

Anybody knows how to pronounce TNGA?
Any Toyota person spoke the word at that night?

By the way, anybody knows a famous Japanese products called TENGA? ;)

    Haha.

    In English, it's just pronounced T, N, G, A.

Thank you all for your comments.

Unfortunately, we can't pronounce "tn-ga" in Japanese.
    We only have...
    tan-ga
    ten-ga
    tin-ga
    ton-ga
    tun-ga

Maybe, "tun-ga" is close to "tn-ga".

Anyway, I found a video the chief engineer is saying it "tee-en-gee-ei". ;)

lol. It sounds like DNA the first time he says it and then it sounds like T "engine ei" the second time.

His Japanese sounds a bit different from what I typically hear. Is it a regional thing or am I just an ignoramus?

I just wonder if the 2016 that comes out early next year will have the new battery or if that will happen when the ECO comes out later next year. They are just not a lot of specs on this new Prius. There are a lot of questions unanswered?

The lithium battery is also used in the FWD high end trim of the Japan market models.

Amen to all of that. I am no longer nervous that I bought my gen III. But my final verdict awaits a test drive and mileage reports.

Further progress in their effort to devise headlights which are impossible to polish by hand.

Goofy-lookin' bits around the lights do not excitement make. If they want thrills, offer a Ludicrous Speed option.
