I purchased 2 - 2014 prius 3 one week apart from each other. And one week apart from each other the Bluetooth went out on both.. they both say bluetooth off.. i try to turn it back on and nothing.. took it to the dealer and they are telling me that the extension box for the Bluetooth has to be replaced and since the cars already have over 36,000 miles it will be $1000 for each to replace. . It is just too hard for me to believe that the exact same thing happened to both cars only days from each other.. it seems more like they were on a timer from the date they were purchased and right after the warranty expired. Did anyone else have the same issue??? If enough of us get together we can get a re-call or a refund
welcome! not sure i've heard of this before. were you doing the same thing to both cars that could have killed it? not sure what an extension box is, would a salvage unit work?
Do you have a crapple phone? Are you sure it's both cars, and not your phone at the root of the problems you're having?
That is happening with my car. You click the "Bluetooth off" icon, something is supposed to happen, but it doesn't, right ? I'm just installing a new headunit. I have a warranty that covers everything, but don't have time to drop it off anywhere (grad school+work+life). I agree that it is annoying and stupid. I didn't come up with anything in my research.
