Your brief description doesn't sound bad. I would go back and retrace all of the wiring to find a mistake, such as transposed leads on the relay block? Maybe the inline fuse is blown or missing?

In addition, test the relay. Applying power from a 9v battery to the coil terminals on the relay should close the relay, and you should be able to hear the click. Also, test the relay with a multimeter, if you have one, make sure there's continuity when the relay closes.

I wired my ONEX HID kit up this afternoon. No problem, no relay. Sorry you're having trouble :(

Got silk blaze steering wheel installed, too.

All that's left is seat covers, headunit, speakers and sound deadening...hopefully can do next weekend.

It's impossible to tell in the light but it's 4D carbon fiber wrapped.
    More photos tomorrow.

Edit: actually you can kind of see on the 2nd photo if you zoom in.

    It's in the cards.

Also debating doing the hatch spoiler as well.
The fellow who helped me out bought a 20' of the stuff and we are going to do it as I have time and money.

But; my next upgrade is HIDs and fogs.
I'll probably be doing the roof after winter along with new wheels.
    Slowly but surely.

When I installed my opt7 kit with the relay I ran into the same issue at first. It ended up being one of the anti-flicker capacitors . Took out the "broken" one and ran everything else without and it worked fine. Further I contact opt7 , they sent me not only another one but an extra set of bulbs for free. Threw in the new anti-flicker and whole system works great. Hope this helps, sounds exactly like what I went through.

So I'm going another round with the relay before it gets dark, and I noticed the harness plug that connects to the oem wiring isn't the same connector as the one from the ballast as if I were to wire everything without the harness. It has different tabs and doesn't seat fully when I push it in. Is it possible I got a wrong relay?

    Edit:
Here is a photo to go with that description. The plug on top is from the ballast and is able to seat into the OEM plug securely. It has a small tab on each side. The bottom plug is from the relay and it won't seat in the same OEM plug at all (I can pretty much tug it to disconnect). It has a single tab that is wider. image.jpeg

It's all in the tab spacing, the one on top is an H11 connector, whereas the pins in the bottom connector is too far apart to fit into the H11 oem connector.

If you can, release the pin terminals with a small jewelers screwdriver, then flip the pin terminals around 180 so that the flat side is near the center of the connector to make the tab spacing narrower. Does that make sense?
