Probably he forgets to do the flooring every time and the strong braking after it?

Bob's posts are full of contradictions anyway, he will find a way to explain any report that does not meet his theory. If he comes back that is.

I think I have "Bayor Bob" figured out. We saw him in 2003 in Baghdad. The guy who said the US Army was no where near Baghdad as the Abrams tanks were rolling down the street a few blocks away.

Baghdad Bob, did you move to the OC? :)

Also, I've found that People who annoyingly capitalize Nouns have a profound lack of Veracity. Unless They are writing in German.

    Mid-week update.

short version: no magic, no 'extra' EV miles showing up.

longer version: Over the weekend I did use the gas engine (oh the shame of it all). But 160 miles roundtrip with 2 charges equals 72 MPG. not too shabby! anyway, both Sat and Sun mornings after an overnight charge got me 10.1 miles each morning. hmmm.

    Mon AM: 9.8 miles
    Tues AM: 10.1 miles
    Wed AM: 9.7 miles

And to be truthful here, my lovely bride is driving and charging and reporting to me this week.
Plus she has a class that requires gas miles. But she is driving in EV until electricity is gone, and always in PWR mode.

    I'll wrap this up Firday.

Seems 10 miles is 10 miles.

But 600 mile tanks are the norm now. woo-hoo!

End of the week report: no discernible increase in EV miles. To be blunt, no change whatsoever. at all. nothing more.

Yes the longish trip was to PDX! I decided to stop and charge for 1/2 hour where i normally stop when in my Leaf. Plus the charge from home.

    Thursday was 9.8 miles
Friday (this AM) was 10.1 miles.

Anyway, been fun, but nothing to see here, back to the same ol same ol.

I think his secret was the PWR move by pulsing with gas, then coasting and using EV, not realizing the gas engine WAS in use. oh well. The PiP is still a pretty efficient machine.

looking at bob in a light most favorable - dollars to donuts he finally followed your advise & figured it out ... and now he's too embarrassed to come back. Being one who's made a few record setting faux pas myself - I'd hope to encourage him to come back into the faux pas fold with the rest of us.

Mine is down to 11.3 miles. Yet, the resulting commute MPG remained unchanged. For that matter, actual EV is the same too. I can also see that looking at the SOC, no change.

The cooler Fall temperatures are clearly pushing the estimate lower. That's it.

We're in the "light jacket" stage... still above freezing. That's not "cold" by our standards. Lithium pretty much behaves the same as room-temp. Below freezing is what makes a difference.

I haven't made my commute on EV only in about 2 weeks. It's 13 miles round trip, and the gas engine kicks in at about the last mile on the way home. I'm driving as conservatively as possible, taking streets instead of the highway, and not running the defrost or heat.
